How Do I Get Started with Drone Training?
Getting started is easy and completely free. Here's what to do:
Step 1: Choose your pathway Visit rpascentre.com/Pathways to see all certification pathways. If you're brand new to drones, start with the Basic Pilot Certification Pathway.
Step 2: Create a free account Go to academy.rpascentre.com and click "Sign Up" to create your free account.
Step 3: Enroll in a free course

Yes. Transport Canada requires most drone pilots to hold a valid pilot certificate.
Microdrones (under 250g): No pilot certificate or registration required. However, you must still fly safely and not endanger anyone. Flying a microdrone at an advertised event requires a Special Flight Operations Certificate (SFOC).
Drones 250g to 25kg: You need either a Basic or Advanced Pilot Certificate, and your drone must be registered with Transport Canada.

Create an account or sign in
Enter your drone's brand, model, and serial number
Pay the registration fee
